Structural Engineer for the Greater Dublin Area
Dublin, Kildare, Meath and Wicklow, from the Blackrock office. Each area page covers the local ground, housing stock and council rules that shape structural work there.
StructuralEngineer.ie is a Chartered structural engineering practice serving the Greater Dublin Area: every part of County Dublin, plus Kildare, Meath and Wicklow. Joachim Louw (CEng MIEI) designs and signs off extensions, wall removals, attic and garage conversions, and investigates cracks, subsidence and pyrite.
The work is the same everywhere, but the houses and the ground aren't. Fingal, Meath and Kildare have boom-era estates in the pyrite areas. Dún Laoghaire and Bray have period houses, basements and protected structures. Lucan, Clondalkin and Naas have dense 1970s–2000s semis being extended and converted. The area pages below go into the detail.
